My favorite cream cheese icing

…perfect for any cake

I adore cream cheese AND I adore icing, so the combination is perfection in my book! Here’s a quick and easy recipe that is ready in no time, and tastes soooo good!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl

  • Whisk

  • Measuring cups

For the cream cheese icing

  • 1 block of cream cheese (room temperature)

  • 3 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • A dash of salt

  • Using your stand mixer, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth

  • If you choose to pipe this icing onto your cupcakes, I highly suggest you allow your frosting to set up in the fridge so that it becomes more solidified. I like to go ahead and place it in my piping bag with the tip tied off so it doesn’t ooze out.
