…chewy, fluffy with a nice hit of garlic
Looking for a quick pizza dough ready to eat in less than two hours? This is my go-to quick rise pizza dough that’s better than takeout!
Equipment
Mixing bowl
Dough hook
Measuring cups
For the dough
1 cup water
1 packet fast rising dry yeast
1 tablespoon honey
3 cups all purpose flour
1/8 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
Cornmeal (optional)
How to create the perfect dough
In you stand mixer, place one cup of warm water and 1 packet of instant dry yeast in a bowl. Add in honey and garlic powder and gently mix. Allow ingredients to sit for about five minutes to let the yeast activate.
Next add in your salt and olive oil. Turn mixer on low and add in your all purpose flour. Mix until dough is no longer sticky.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with cellophane wrap or a damp towel and allow to rise in a warm place for at least an hour or until doubled in size.
Once doubled in size, begin to preheat your oven to 450F
On your baking sheet, sprinkle corn meal and spread generously in pan. Place dough in center and gently rub it against the surface of the cornmeal. Begin to roll out your dough as thin as you like without tearing it.
Par bake your pizza dough without any toppings on it for about 6-7 minutes until lightly golden brown.
Pull pizza dough out of oven and begin to place toppings on top. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes and let cool for a few minutes before digging in.
Enjoy!
