Cheesy Sausage Balls

…perfect for Christmas morning

Are you looking for a quick snack to keep the kids tied over before Christmas lunch? Here’s a quick recipe that microwaves super well and can be made in advance!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl

  • Cookie scoop

  • Measuring cups

  • Cookie sheet

For the Sausage Balls

  • 1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 lbs of sausage (can be italian, breakfast, turkey, or ground pork sausage)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley

  • 1/2 tsp herbs de province (can be omitted)

  • 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

  • 4 oz softened cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup buttermilk (or milk)

Perfect for any Christmas Party or game day appetizer

  • Preheat your oven to 400F

  • Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together until well combined. I typically use my hands, but you can use a spoon or your stand mixer

  • Once fully combined, take a cookie scoop and scoop out your balls on to a lined cookie sheet

  • These won’t spread much so don’t worry about them being too close together

  • Place in your 400F for about 20 minutes until the tops are golden brown and your pork is thoroughly cooked through

  • Store in the fridge until ready to enjoy

  • Enjoy!
